The groundwater recharge for this phase of the project was evaluated using methods that have not been utilized previously in the project area. Although substantial recharge evaluation was already conducted, the estimates were limited to Ramonnedi area rather than the Kgwakgwe wellfield, which has been increasingly exploited since 1985.
