The Groundwater Resource Evaluation Project for Kanye, Ramonnedi and Moshaneng area is undertaken as a I follow up of a study by DWA (1994) which identified the need to develop new major water sources to meet the increasing water demand in Kanye and Moshupa. The project is implemented by the Department of Water Affairs (DWA), who are responsible for water resource development, construction, operation and maintenance of the water supply in all major villages.
