This report entails the findings of the environmental audit conducted at South East District Council sanitary landfill. The audit was undertaken in terms of section 19 of the Environment Assessment (EA) Act No. 10 of 2011. Preparation for the audit relied on review of relevant project documents including the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the project that was developed and approved in 2005. A pre- audit site visit was also undertaken on the 22nd November 2012. While on site, activities included site visual inspections documented by pictures and interviews with the landfill personnel, Mogobane Tribal Administration as well as few members of the communities residing in the vicinity of the project are
