Abstraction for the period January to June 1991 amounted to 3884715 M3 with a progressive figure of 50509135 M' since pumping cosmienced in I)ecemher 1979. The monthly average for the period under review was 323726 M'. There was a decrease of 1035838 M3 over the previous period in 1990. This decrease can be attributed to, in large, a greater efficiency in water returns from the slime's dams.
